True to our usual approach to all their ventures, the dedicated team at Glask took the time to fully comprehend the unique requirements and priorities of Australia Post. They embarked on an in-depth exploration to grasp the nuances of their client's needs, leading to a custom-designed postal warehouse facility that catered specifically to the central needs of Australia Post. To meet the brief and requirements given to them, they needed to delve into understanding the intricate workings of Australia Post's business operations. This ensured that they could provide a solution that was not only efficient, but also tailored specifically to enhance the operational flow of Australia Post.

Expansion of a new 10,000m2 of pre-engineered building (PEB) inclusive of canopy which is connected to the existing 5,000m2 warehouse, small amenity area to cater for increased staffing numbers, 12 off, 7.5m diameter Big Ass Fans to aid with internal building temperatures for worker comfort during Summer and a bespoke designed O2 ventilation system for effective management of exhaust pollutants to ensure air quality is maintained at a high level of standard for worker safety. Externally a new heavy vehicle entrance was created along with an internal asphalt ring road to accommodate the increased vehicle movements due to the expansion.

Two major challenges throughout the build process, first was the development of the site on the edge of a Western Power high voltage easement, which meant we were governed by a 4.2m height restriction whilst working within the easement with machinery and the existing facilities fire system needed to remain operational during the new build so we opted to construct the new building over the top of the existing services and then decommission them once the new fire system was commissioned.
